Since 1990, he has worked as a Department Psychologist and Medical
Officer for several agencies throughout California. Today he is one
of the worlds leading experts in Police Stress and Trauma Recovery in Law
Enforcement.
Gene is the author of "The Trauma Recovery Workbook for Law
Enforcement," now widely used by trauma recovery organizations and
law enforcement agencies throughout the US, Europe, the UK, Japan and most
recently the Middle East.
He authored and taught the "Advanced Stress Management"
course--now required reading for numerous Federal, State, and local law
enforcement agencies. In Peer Counseling, Gene is the author of the
ONLY California State Certified Course in Peer Counseling for Corrections
currently available.
Working exclusively with law enforcement personnel and their
families, Gene specializes in Critical Incident Debriefing and in Trauma
diagnosis and treatment/recovery.
